Hi! I’m Lauren Rasmussen (she/her), a Somatic Trauma Psychotherapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I support individuals navigating complex and relational trauma, nervous system dysregulation, emotional overwhelm, and disconnection from self or body.
My work is grounded in a body-based and psychodynamic approach, integrating trauma-informed principles with deep nervous system awareness. I believe that symptoms hold wisdom—our survival strategies are not flaws but adaptations. Together, we create space for curiosity, connection, and the gradual building of internal safety and resilience.
A Bit More About Me
Outside of my work, I’m someone who loves slow mornings, movement, and good coffee.. I’m most often found reflecting, writing, or creating resources that help people come back into relationship with themselves. I care deeply about making somatic and trauma-informed care feel human, accessible, and grounded—and I’m honored to do this work. You can always connect on Instagram or Tik Tok @sittingwithlauren

I support clients in developing self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and boundary-setting skills, using a blend of empathy, recognition, and practical tools. Hi! I’m Nikki (she/her), a Somatic Practitioner and Registered Nurse offering 1:1 coaching at The Simplest Self. I support individuals in reconnecting with their bodies in ways that feel supportive, sustainable, and attuned to their needs. My work blends nervous system science, parts work, and energetic awareness, rooted in the belief that regulation comes from attunement—not control.
My approach encourages a felt sense of safety, presence, and embodiment, without bypassing discomfort or chasing calm. I support clients in cultivating a relationship with their inner world that is grounded in curiosity, self-trust, and compassion.
A Bit More About Me
I’m also on my own somatic healing journey, learning how to move through life with more embodiment, presence, and ease. Outside of my work, I find joy and connection through raising my daughter, writing music, and expressing myself as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
You can find me on Instagram at @nikkiivory_ where I share reflections on healing, glimpses into my personal journey, and free resources to help you reconnect with your body.
